Why did I die?

Your run ends the moment your dot touches an echo's dot. Echo trails never hurt you, only the moving dots do. The band at the bottom is the safe zone: nothing can catch you inside it, and an echo inside it can't catch anyone either.

How do power-ups work?

In a free run a token sometimes appears in the room. Touch it and clear the room to keep its power-up; it waits in the corner until you tap it to use it on the next room. You hold one at a time, and a new one replaces the old. Immunity survives every touch, Flash outpaces every echo for a room, Big safe zone makes the safe zone twice as tall, Wide gate opens the whole top edge, and Pick start lets you choose where you begin. Every fourth room you can also get one by watching a short ad.

How do I turn reminders off?

Open Settings from the gear on the title screen and turn off Notifications, or turn them off in iOS Settings → Notifications → RETRACE. The game sends at most one reminder a day, at 19:00, and only on a day you didn't play.

RETRACE plays in your iPhone's language when it speaks it, and in English otherwise.
